Terms and conditions

These terms govern your use of this website. The short version: everything here is general information to help you decide what to ask about, the prices shown are estimates until an insurer confirms them, and no cover exists until a policy has been issued and paid for. Last updated 24 August 2026.

Who we are and what this site is

This website is operated by TrueVisit Insurance Inc., a licensed insurance agency in Ontario. Using the site means you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use it.

Information, not advice

The content on this site is general information about insurance products available in Canada. It is not personal advice, and it does not take account of your circumstances, health, or financial position. Nothing here should be relied on as a recommendation to buy or not buy a particular policy.

Advice means a conversation with a licensed agent about your own situation. That is free, and we would rather you had it than made a decision from a web page.

The policy wording governs

Every description of coverage on this site is a summary. What is actually covered, excluded and limited is set out in the policy wording issued by the insurer, and that document prevails over anything written here. Read it when it arrives.

Quotes And Cover

What a price on this site means

Quotes are estimates

Premiums shown by the quote tools are estimates based on the details entered. They are not offers. The final premium is confirmed by the insurer at the point of purchase and may differ — for example where information entered was incomplete or inaccurate, or where underwriting produces a different assessment.

No cover until issued and paid

You are not insured because you obtained a quote, started an application, or received a confirmation of submission. Cover exists only once the insurer has issued a policy, the premium has been paid, and the coverage start date has arrived. If you are unsure whether cover is in force, call us and ask.

Accuracy of what you tell us

Insurance depends on the accuracy of the information given. Answering an application incorrectly or leaving something out — particularly about health — can result in a claim being denied or the policy being voided, even where the omission seemed unimportant at the time. If in doubt, disclose it.

Eligibility

Products described on this site are available only where we are licensed to place them and only to people who meet the insurer’s eligibility criteria. Being shown a product here is not confirmation that you qualify for it.

Acceptable use

Please use the site lawfully and for its intended purpose. Do not attempt to interfere with it, gain unauthorised access to any part of it, submit false information, or use automated means to extract content from it.

Third-party links

We link to insurers, government pages and other third-party sites where they are useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their accuracy or their privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement.

Intellectual property

The content, design and layout of this site belong to TrueVisit Insurance Inc. or to our licensors, and are protected by copyright. You may read, print and share pages for your own personal use. You may not republish, sell or systematically copy the content without our permission.

Availability

We aim to keep the site available and accurate, but we do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. Quote tools depend on systems operated by insurers and may be unavailable at times. We may change or withdraw any part of the site without notice.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, TrueVisit Insurance Inc. is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of this site or from reliance on information published on it. This does not limit any liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law, and it does not affect your rights in respect of advice we give you as your agent or of a policy we place for you.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute arising from them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.

Privacy

How we handle personal information is set out separately in our privacy policy, which forms part of these terms.

Changes

We may revise these terms from time to time. The version published here is the one that applies, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
